Saumitra Sinha is a Research Consultant at TCI-TARINA primarily conducting spatial analysis and mapping. He is working with secondary data to classify food systems and is working on an agricultural markets study. Previously at TCI in Ithaca, he derived and mapped district and sub-district level statistics on agricultural indicators using publicly available remote sensing data. Saumitra graduated from Cornell with a Master of Regional Planning degree where he focused on adaptation planning in flood-prone areas. He holds a Bachelors in Architecture degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and has worked on projects related to urban water management, ecotourism and reuse of industrial sites.
